Task 7: Create the Adverts (P4:U20)

Learning Outcome 3 (U20): Be able to produce the planned media components.

P4: Create the media components to be used in the planned campaign.

MOCK UP Versions to put final creations into context:

Below, there visuals of all three final advertisement products. All pre-production documents and research had been combined to then put into production filming for the video advert and taking shots of the 'Phizz wizard can' in particular to use for the other print products. Thanks to our preparation, and the skill of our post-production we were able to incorporate everything and therefore meet the brief, creating products best suited to our target audience. To do this, in post-production we had to use many editing software to apply the codes and conventions needed to attract our target audience.

Customer Feedback:

  • I liked the way in which the camera took full advantage of the wide angle and followed the person to the amusement machine, as you immediately became fully immersed in terms of his desire to win over the machine. As a viewer you were very aware that the young man was fashion conscious and that he was no stranger to these type of environments in the year 2018. It was also very evident that despite trying to win the game, he was continually losing and you could see by his body language that he was disappointed and becoming frustrated. You could see that the can of drink was strategically positioned on top of the machine and during his period of losing, the cameraman strategically focussed on the young man opening the can of drink. Once he finished his drink he once again played with the machine, but was retrospectively brought back to 1990. To his surprise whilst being brought back in time his clothes changed to that era and the drink clearly brought him good fortune. The young man looked elated and raised his arms with joy as a mark of winning. There was a correlation and synergy that the drink brought him good luck and created an association of good luck coupled with an element of nostalgia.
